Dr. Igor Berinskii, head of Multiscale Mechanics of Solids research group @Tel Aviv University is looking for an outstanding and highly motivated Ph.D. candidate to participate in a project supported by the Israel’s Ministry of Energy ** The position is fully funded. Start: September 2021. The project aims to develop a particle-based dynamical model of rock drilling to determine the parameters making drilling more effective. As particle methods are very time consuming, the model will be implemented to be used on a graphic processor unit system to speed-up the calculations.
